Daikin heat pump demonstrates energy efficiency

25/05/2010

Daikin UK is supporting an initiative to increase awareness of renewable energy technologies, with the provision of an air source heat pump.

The Energy Saving Trust is a non profit organisation that provides advice to home owners on improving energy efficiency, to save on fuel bills and reduce carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions both at home and while travelling.

The Energy Saving Trust advice centre has recently commissioned an interactive energy saving exhibition trailer.

The trailer contains examples of the latest energy efficient technologies.

Daikin UK is supporting this initiative and has provided an air source heat pump, the Daikin Altherma Split system.

The system was installed by Rothwell Plumbing Services, a Daikin Altherma trained installer.

Daikin Altherma Low Temperature Split system is a certified Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) product.

Rothwell Plumbing Services are an approved MCS installer.

Both criteria must be met to qualify for grants under the Low Carbon Building Program.

The Energy Saving Trust trailer also features other exhibits such as a working solar panel and wind turbine working models.

The trailer is used by Energy Saving Trust advice centres across the UK to encourage the fight against climate change.

The demonstration kits and the working units aim to improve awareness and demonstrate how CO2 emissions and home energy bills can be reduced.
