Our partner (The Energy Trust) DEA training course allows you to become a Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA) where your role will be varied, as you inspect and measure homes, gathering information and inputting the data into the software which produces Energy Performance Certificates (EPC) for a wide range of residential properties.

So getting you DEA training and becoming a domestic energy assessor could be a great new career choice with job opportunities to be employed or even go freelance.  A secure and developing role – in addition to Residential property requiring EPCs – Tenanted and Commercial property now need EPCs.  Energy trust are finding that many of our students are getting qualified in all four Diplomas & then operating as an Energy Assessing Practice.

DEAs will help to make the world a greener place – you will be helping the environment by highlighting areas to reduce carbon emissions

What’s involved in DEA training?


 

This DEA training course is available to non experienced candidates who want to be involved in producing the mandatory energy performance certificates for houses which are either sold or rented.

DEA Training is your route to become qualified as a DEA in the quickest time possible. You will need to enrol on the level 3 DEA course in your chosen area.

With the Energy Trust DEA Training Course not only will you become a City & Guilds accredited Energy Assessor, but you will be trained in how to produce Home Information Packs High quality Floor Plans & Stock Inventories for Lettings.
We have many locations and course dates to choose from. During 3 day attendance you will learn all aspects of domestic energy assessment which includes surveying, building identification techniques, understanding RDSAP software which all energy assessors work with and learning to energy rate properties. All our courses include live house assessments to give you real hands on experience in preparation for your new career role.  RDSAP Software is included in the price.

On day 3 you will sit your City & Guilds on line exam & will get the results straight away, if you fail simply take the exam again there & then, no need to come back to the venue at a future date.
